Special campaign

Swap instead of throwing away: Unloved Christmas presents find a new home at the Pottery Museum

This year, the Pottery Museum Raeren is taking part in an original Christmas campaign entitled ‘Unloved presents’. This initiative offers a creative solution for all those who are left with unwanted presents after Christmas.

Unloved present? Off to the museum!

From 26 December 2024 to 16 March 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to exchange a new and unused Christmas present at the Pottery Museum for two admission tickets per family. The collected gifts will then be passed on to the non-profit organisation Les Petits Riens, which will use them for a good cause. In this way, Christmas presents that have been received incorrectly or twice are given a second chance to bring joy.

In addition to the Pottery Museum Raeren, several other Belgian museums are taking part in the campaign, including SparkOH!, the Musée L, the Maison du Patrimoine médiéval mosan, Train World and Mudia. The whole thing is organised by the association Musées et Société en Wallonie (MSW) – a federation of Walloon museums that today comprises 200 member museums throughout Wallonia (and in Brussels).
